Resonance Ensemble specializes in concerts that explore the resonance between music of all eras and art, politics, history, literature and culture, and most importantly, resonance with our audience. Concerts feature a wide variety of excellent music ranging from Bach to Schnittke, from medieval chant to sophisticated arrangements of traditional folk music. Resonance combines these in ways that serve the ensemble's broader artistic vision.

In honor of Pride month, we celebrate gender identities, sexualities, and the LGBTQA community's work toward civil rights and understanding. Resonance performs selections from Craig Hella Johnson's Considering Matthew Shepard, which uses many musical styles and poetry, Shepard's journal entries, and his parents' writings. We also sing Dominick DiOrio's The Visible World, with texts from Oscar Wilde to a Seattle poster from when Washington adopted same-sex marriage in 2012: "Sorry it took so long."
