What if your poetry, your imagination, became reality? What would call you?
"I Wander, It Calls" is a poetical theatre piece written by people with mental illness diagnoses and performed by professional actors onstage at Portland Actors Conservatory's Historic Firehouse Theatre, 1436 SW Montgomery Street, Portland 97201 November 1-9th, Fridays at 7:30pm, Saturdays at 2pm. Admission is $10 general, $5 students and seniors.
Beautiful Minds is an ongoing drop-in playwriting group run by Well Arts at National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Washington County Center. In twice-a-month-sessions people with a variety of backgrounds and experiences, but with the common title of mental illness, meet and are lead through theatre games, visual art warm-ups, and a playwriting creative process to help put their experiences, thoughts, hopes and dreams to words.
We've set up a shuttle service to help you get to the theatre from NAMI Washington County's Center to the theatre, as well as from the nearest parking garage to the theatre. To RSVP for the shuttle, please call 503-459-4500 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
