Box Office Tickets Brings Ticketing Network to the Rogue Valley Community
Local organizations can now sell tickets online
PORTLAND, OREGON, USA — March 23, 2009 — Box Office Tickets Inc., the first ticketing company to bring Web 2.0 to the arts and entertainment industry, announces a new local ticketing network for the Rogue Valley Community — Rogue Ticket Network™ (www.roguetix.net). The network is a free service offered by Box Office Tickets to local arts, culture and entertainment organizations. It helps them sell tickets over the Internet while helping local customers stay connected with upcoming shows and events. Current partner organizations are Barnstormers Theatre, One Eleven Evelyn and Southern Oregon Impact Theatre.
Box Office Tickets' back of the house software, support and infrastructure enables organizations to access and manage their shows and events, send out promotions, sell tickets, and transact other business over the Internet. Essentially, providing more convenient services to their customers. More than 75% of all tickets sold today are online transactions.
"Rogue Valley is the cultural heart of southern Oregon," says George Domurot, President/CEO of Box Office Tickets Inc. "The community asked us to help them create a local cultural ticketing network, similar to the PDX Ticket Network. Now theatres, universities, festivals, and other groups can join the network, share resources and sell tickets." Joining the network as a partner will help organizations save money and maintain greater control over their ticketing while working together to share services and sell more tickets.
The PDX Ticketing Network and PDX Cultural Calendar, launched in February 2008, has over 200 participating organizations.
Features of Rogue Ticket Network™ for Partners
The network is open to all theaters and groups with ticketing needs in the Rogue Valley area. There is no fee to join the network. For example, groups selling a $20 ticket through the network will get $20 back for each sale. Customers pay a small service fee of $1 and five percent of the ticket price for the convenience of using the online network.
Rogue Valley area organizations interested in joining the network or anyone looking for more information should visit www.roguetix.net and www.boxofficetickets.com.
Features of Rogue Ticket Network™ for Members
Network members are connected with partner production companies and other members that match their interests. The network sends out a weekly personal digest to each member — keeping them current on upcoming shows, events and promotions that match their interests. Five cents from the sale of each ticket gets donated back to local non-profit organizations.
