Box Office Tickets extends wireless admission control to additional hardware platform

PORTLAND, OREGON, USA — June 29, 2005 — Box Office Tickets Inc. has extended the compatibility of its RoBOT StopLight™ software to run on Symbol® handheld computer hardware. The wireless, real time ticket validation solution speeds and simplifies admission control. RoBOT StopLight™ also runs on Hand Held Products® handheld computers.
Support for the Symbol® platform makes it easier and more cost-effective for customers with existing hardware to use Box Office Tickets event management services. Most venues which use handheld computers today rely on Symbol® or Hand Held Products® for their scanning hardware.

The Symbol® version of the RoBOT StopLight™ software comes with the same functionality and quick set-up and ease-of-use features as the Hand Held Products® version, including zero-configuration, auto-updating and simple interfaces.
As the barcodes on tickets or receipts are scanned, RoBOT StopLight™ communicates instantaneously with WiFi base stations and the boxofficetickets.com® network to respond with a red STOP or green GO light that denies or permits admission.
